Architects Pieter Rubens and Annelies Frederix live in the centre of Hasselt with their kids Mon and Frie. Together they run an architecture studio, focusing on housing, interior, product design and public projects.
Their own house is a prime example of their style and approach: simple, compact, high-quality and sustainable.
Opting for the version in natural MDF, the items fit in in all types of spaces. Because of this sober look, Pieter and Annelies are sure that the combinations they have chosen will last a very long time: “If our children move out or go to college in a few years, they can easily take along the furniture they have now. This way, they’ll become pieces with a story behind, with a history. One of the biggest assets of Kewlox is the freedom it offers: a very big choice, in timeless finishings and with the possibility to change and update existing pieces. We might change the configurations we have now, with new add-ons or extra pieces. Because of its timelessness, we’re sure our furniture will have a long and prosperous life.”

While decorating their new home, Pieter and Annelies chose for Kewlox as go-to storage solution: “We were convinced by the timeless character of the brand and the look of the storage furniture. Just like in our architectural projects, we were looking for items that honestly display the structure of the piece and that are made in a sustainable way with natural materials.”
