At Grafik, in Schaerbeek, everything revolves around illustration, graphic design and creativity. This world reflects the vision of Leticia, a passionate young graphic designer driven by a desire to bring images, colours and lines into dialogue. Curious by nature and deeply attached to the printed image, she creates spaces where creativity is shared, discovered and celebrated. With this ambition in mind, she founded Grafik in 2018: an independent cultural space bringing together an art gallery, a specialised bookshop, a publishing house and a place where people can meet and exchange ideas. Over the years, Grafik has become a recognised landmark on Brussels’ art and cultural scene, bringing together artists, designers, students and everyone with a passion for illustration and design.
Today, three custom-made compositions provide extra room for books, materials and prints. But in a spot where visual language is at the heart of everything, functionality alone wasn’t enough.
“We chose colour without hesitation. Electric blue, light blue and a touch of transparent pink felt like the obvious choice. Bold, yet soft, graphic and flexible. Exactly how we like to work.”
When redesigning their storage area, founder Leticia was looking for a solution that would be just as flexible as the studio itself.
“We discovered Kewlox through our architecture coach at HUB. The fact that it’s a Belgian brand with a strong focus on sustainable production immediately appealed to us. We explored the options online before visiting the Stockel showroom to finalise everything. It was a great experience: we received plenty of advice and were able to create combinations that truly make the most of both our space and the furniture.”
The result is an interior that does more than support Grafik’s daily practice it reflects it. A workspace where functionality and creativity go hand in hand, and where the furniture evolves alongside ideas, projects and the people who bring them to life.
